Check Out These Après-ski Spots in Park City

Park City Cocktails and Live Music

Every year, travelers flock to Park City to get in some of their best runs down the mountain during the winter season. But after the skiing and boarding is done for the day–what then? Après-ski activities, of course!

If you haven't heard the term, après-ski is a French word that simply means “after skiing”, and it typically refers to the act of going out and grabbing a drink after a day spent on the slopes. When your body is tired and achy from the cold, what better way to warm it up than with an alcoholic beverage? Next time you’re visiting the snowy town of Park City, check out some of these après-ski spots to make the most of your time in the mountains.

Enjoy the Outdoors at the Umbrella Bar

Check out Umbrella Bar, located in Canyons Village just a few steps away from the Red Pine Gondola and the Cabriolet Ski Lift. This small food stand and bar is perfect for a casual bite and an après-ski beer or seltzer. When the weather is warm, Umbrella Bar’s windows open and the canopy comes down to welcome all to its charming deck. You’ll also find plenty of local musicians performing at this spot during the winter season, so stop by and enjoy a beer with some music next time you’re looking for an après-ski activity.

Watch Some Music at the Spur Bar & Grill

Live music and delicious eats combine at the Spur Bar & Grill. This local hotspot is situated right on Park City’s historic Main Street, serving up a menu of tasty appetizers, delectable entrees, and a well-rounded selection of beers and cocktails for the après-ski crowd. Come by the Spur a little bit later on in the day to enjoy two live music acts, put on each night by this combination of venue and restaurant. While you’re there for a bit of après-ski entertainment, be sure to check out the Spur Coffee, made the Irish way using Spur’s own house-made whiskey.

Take a Tour of the High West Distillery

Looking for the perfect activity to polish off a day spent on the slopes? A tour of High West Distillery, located just 30 minutes down the road from Park City in Wanship, Utah, will not only fulfill all of your après-ski dreams of delicious High West Whiskey, but it will also give you immense insight into the process behind distilling this well-known brew. Bring a bit of extra cash with you, as there aren’t any samples provided on the tour–you can purchase some afterwards, however.

Not up for a 30 minute drive out of town? Check out the High West Saloon, located within Park City. This saloon is packed to the brim with High West’s tasty selection of bourbon and rye whiskey, and makes for a wonderful atmosphere when skiing is done for the day.

Get Your Dive Bar On at No Name Saloon

While this next après-ski spot has no name, it’s still known as one of the go-to bars in the Park City area. No Name Saloon has been around for quite some time–its main room has been used as a bar since the 1950s, and an expansion in 2007 added additional space, including a rooftop patio with heated floors and a family-friendly annex next door for those with kids. While you’re there, be sure to take a look at their extensive menu of both food and drinks. Reviewers rave about the Buffalo Burger entree as well as the vast array of beers and cocktails available.

Eat Some Brazilian Fusion at the Bridge Bar & Grill

Want to grab an interesting bite to eat next time you’re done with your day on the slopes? Check out the Bridge Bar & Grill, located right next to the Town Lift. This restaurant fuses both American and Brazilian cuisine and is a local favorite, both for its proximity to the lift as well as its scrumptious plates. Their menu includes a variety of different options, including some Brazilian items like the Brazuca Burger, which is topped with eggs, sausage, and Swiss cheese.

Take the Kids to the Champion’s Club

Not every apres-ski activity has to involve alcohol, which is why the next item on our list is kid-friendly for those who are on vacation with family. The Champion’s Club, which you’ll find at the Stein Eriksen Lodge, is a state-of-the-art entertainment center that boasts a huge selection of both old and new arcade games for visitors to enjoy. Kids will have a blast playing games and then sitting down to eat a casual meal with family. There is bar service and a variety of beers available, however, if you want to celebrate your après-ski fun in the traditional way.

Find Even More Entertainment in Park City Year-Round

Après-ski is a time-honored tradition in Park City, and now you’ll be better-prepared to sail off the slopes and straight into your chosen après-ski spot. Whether you decide to imbibe on Brazilian fusion at the Bridge Bar and Grill or dance to a bit of live music at the Spur, there’s always something fun to do while you’re in Park City.
